Celebrity Big Brother will NOT be taking place in 2026 as ITV and production company Banijay appear to be in a battle over costs and changes. ITV said they are committed to continuing the reality programme, with the focus being on ITV2.
The network believes it has a niche audience that have loyally followed the programme since it began broadcasting rights when it took over from Channel 5. Big Brother has generated 150 million streams on ITV X and has maintained a healthy set of viewing figures over it's time on the network.
Viewers will have to wait a bit longer for Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, but the show continues to entertain audiences around the world.
