It was hugs all round as Big Brother housemates heard the good news that both sides had passed this weeks Shopping Task with their Ping Pong performance and the Puppetry Theatre.

BB9: Day 62 - Puppet Theatre Task

Will it be a Luxury Budget or another week of £1 Basics for the remaining housemates as this weeks Shopping Task was read out by Head of House, Rachel.


Heavenly housemates will learn to perform a theatrical sequence in the style of Bunraku - Japanese puppetry performed by puppeteers dressed in black, who 'invisibly' manipulate objects and people while standing against a black background.

The sequence they will learn is a magical table tennis match, where the characters can fly and stop the ball in mid-air. In order to pass their part of the shopping task, Heavenly housemates must practice and perform to Big Brother's satisfaction.

The housemates from Hell, on the other hand (and shoved up a sock), must perform a hand puppet show over a period of approximately 24 hours.

They will be provided with puppets of the Heavenly housemates, and must use their imaginations and experiences in the House to create shows every time the trigger sound is played. In order to pass their part of the shopping task, housemates from Hell must incur no more than three fails.
