Darnell has been lying to the housemates that he had a girlfriend outside the Big Brother house. He came clean and told the truth to Kathreya. Initially she refused to believe him but then said he was a "very bad boy". Kat also said she would forgive him and they could still be friends.He told Kat, "I want to be the one who has a girlfriend sometimes," explaining, "Me and Mo are the kind of people that you dare girls to sleep with. Those are the jokes that I don't want to be the butt of and that is why I made up that I had a girlfriend."
Since he joined Hell Housemates he and Sara have been flirting more and more, so could it be that Darnell and Sara could become the new couple in the BB9 house to replace Rebecca and Luke?
