BB9: Big Brother Double Eviction Viewing Figures

The Big Brother Double Eviction of Kathreya and Mohamed on Tuesday proved to be a ratings winner for Channel 4, with 4 million watching as Davina McCall revealed that Kathreya would be the second housemate evicted.

The earlier highlights show at 8pm attracted 3.3m with 299,000 watching an hour later on C4+1, while the 10pm interviews with Mo and Kat had viewing figures of 3.7m. The shock evictions were also watched by another 131,000 viewers an hour later.

Kathreya became the unlucky 13th housemate to leave the BB9 house during the shocking Double Eviction. Many tears were shed during the short space of time from Davina's announcement to Kat's departure.

BB9: Day 90 - Kat Evicted In Double Shocker

Kathreya became the latest housemate to be evicted as part of the Big Brother Double Eviction shocker on Channel 4 tonight. The one time bookies favourite to win Big Brother had fallen out of favour with the voting public as she polled the second least votes on 4.9%.

As the housemates were having a party, Davina McCall surprised them by announcing Mohamed had been evicted. Soon Kat was in tears but it wasn't enough to spare her from eviction. Kat became the unlucky 13th housemate to be evicted by the public vote.

Bursting into tears Rachel and Kathreya hugged in the most emotional departure of the series. Darnell walked around in complete shock as Rex threw an item of clothing is disbelief. Kat was greeted by loud boos as she waved to the crowds, crying as she left the Big Brother house.

BB9: Day 90 PICTURES - Impersonate Me Task - Part 1

Big Brother injected some fun into the BB9 house today as housemates were given the task of impersonating each other. Costumes were provided, along with props to identify the housemate and once dressed up the housemates had to act like that housemate.

BB9: Day 90 POLL - Mo and Kat Favourites In Double Eviction

Mohamed and Kathreya seem to be the favourites to go in tonight's Big Brother Double Eviction. The BBBS Poll has both housemates in the last two places so far in the voting and other internet polls have Mo and Kat as the most likely to go.

Later this evening the two housemates with the LEAST votes will be evicted from the Big Brother House in a surprise Double Eviction. At the moment Sara has become the favourite housemate to WIN Big Brother as the Australian tops several internet polls, with voters then being split between Rex and Rachel.

BB9: Day 88 VIDEO - Kat and Darnell Bust Up - Part 2

It's got to be one of the best arguments for several days in the Big Brother house - Kat and Darnell came to blows when a joke about eviction and paranoia took over. You've already seen the first part of the argument in the previous Big Brother Blog Squad topic below but now you can watch the rest here.

BB9: Day 88 VIDEO - Kat and Darnell Clash Over Joke

Darnell and the housemates made a joke saying the former Head of House housemates had been in the Diary Room choosing who should be evicted - Sara or Kathreya. But Kat failed to see the funny side and soon had a dig at Darnell.

Then Darnell told Kat exactly what he thought about her crying. Watch the C4 video below and see for yourself. The full drama will be shown tonight (Monday 01/09/08) on Channel 4:

BB9: Day 88 - Kat In Tears Over Eviction Joke

Kathreya failed to see the funny side of a joke about evictions and ran to the Diary Room crying.

The ex-Heads of House had been called to the Diary Room when today’s servant task ended and Sara asked if their chat had been about which of the two waitresses they would evict.

"I was very scared," added Kathreya.

Then as a joke, Rex made an announcement: "All five of us were asked if we had to choose, who would we choose to leave, Kathreya or Sara?"

At this point Darnell and Mohamed both said they'd choose Kathreya and joked around with her, but it was a joke too far. Within seconds, Kathreya had run to the Diary Room door.

"I'm very, very sad Darnell," she sighed as she waited for Big Brother.

"Oh my god, get over yourself," said Darnell. "You know damn well we don't want you to go dude."

But Kathreya wasn't having any of it. "You always down people. You always make people feel bad. No-one's real to you, everyone does something wrong. Everyone gets close to you and you push away all the time."

"Whatever Kat, honestly," said an exasperated Darnell.

"You've been down on me every single day, every single week... ...you say I'm fake... ...I'm real all the time," argued a sobbing Kathreya.

"All she has to do is ******* cry, or put on a sad face," Darnell shouted at the cameras. "I'm out of my league Big Brother."

And from then Kathreya couldn't get one tearful word in -- it was just one huge rant from Darnell. "I ******* hate this **** man. Please don't talk to me Kat. Whatever I say I'm gonna look like an *******. We don't have to be friends. You just do you and I'll do me."

Darnell stormed off shouting, "I'm not gonna have some ******* 30-year-old lady ******* making me look like I'm not a good ******* person."

Kathreya tried to tell Darnell exactly what she thought, he had just one message, and that was to shout "get the **** away from me!" and storm to the Diary Room saying he was going to leave the House.

BB9: Day 88 - Head of House Task

For one day only, Heads of House past and present will each regain their leader status, complete with their rosettes.

It's not going to be a good day for everyone though - Sara and Kathreya, the two housemates who have never been Head of House, must spend the day waiting on their leaders hand and foot.

"For one day only," Sara announced, "Darnell, Michael, Rachel and Rex will resume their positions as Head of House alongside Mohamed."

Darnell leapt up to high-five Rex, who punched the air and shouted "Best Head of House ever!"
Mohamed didn't look quite as happy.

"Kathreya and Sara will spend the day waiting on their leaders," continued Sara, at which point Mohamed jumped up and cheered.

Then Sara and Kat donned waiting staff uniforms and set about making a roast dinner for their first task as in-house waitresses. They wore white shirts, waistcoats, bow-ties and high heel shoes, with Mikey calling them "sexy waitresses".

Big Brother provided all the ingredients and requested that the girls lay the table and serve the Heads of House.

Rachel requested mashed potato, but was told that this did not come as part of a traditional roast dinner.

"I’m not starving starving anyway," she said, after revealing that crispy roast potatoes make her feel sick.

Mo criticised Kat’s chicken stuffing, asking why she was using lemon and not cooking the traditional stuffing inside."

Most people cook it outside," insisted Kat as she continued to prepare the meat.

Big Brother has promised after dinner games this evening.

BB9: Day 86 - Kat Feels The Pressure

Housemates are really feeling the pressure of being in the Big Brother house as the final week arrives. Yesterday Darnell wanted to walk, Rex was feeling down and now Kathreya just feels lost. Sitting on the floor she chatted to Darnell about her feelings and fears as the Big Brother Final approaches.

Both housemates feared what the public think of them and Kat was upset at the lack of trust the remaining housemates had in her. Watch the C4 video below and catch a tearful Kat in action:

BB9: Day 85 - Kat Upset Mohamed Nominated Rachel

The Face To Face Nominations had a strong effect on certain housemates and Kathreya was one of them. Although she was not even nominated by any of the housemates, she was annoyed that Mohamed voted for Rachel.

Two weeks ago Kat and Mo ended up in the BB Jail for talking about nominations as Kat confronted Mohamed over a comment he made about "tripping up" people in order to make the final. Mo had told Kat he would not trip up Rachel or herself.

As the pair were in the Luxury Bedroom, Mohamed shouted out, "Kathreya's upset I nominated Rachel."

"No, I'm not," Kathreya shot back. "I'm upset that you lied to me."

Mohamed shrugged: "I did tell her I might trip somebody."

"Yeah," retorted Kathreya, "and you said, for the people who are your friends, you will never trip them."

"She upset me," Mohamed explained, "So I had to trip her."

Seems like you can't trust your friends in the Big Brother house.................

BB9: Day 83 - Kat and Sara Discuss Silent Darnell

Kat has really been feeling the wrath of Darnell as he continued throughout the day refusing to talk to her. In the garden Kat chatted to Sara about the situation, "Darnell's been funny with me today," she told Sara.

"Really?" Sara frowned.

"Yeah," Kat replied gloomily. "I tried to talk to him a few times but he doesn't want to talk. I don't know why."

"Was it because we were chatting last night?" asked Sara. "Because I don't know why that would be a problem. He'll come around though, he does it all the time."

"I tried to talk to him, and we just answered and talked, but we didn't have a conversation," Kat continued. "He said he didn't want to talk to me. I don't understand."

"He'll be talking soon," Sara consoled her. "You just don't know when it's over, do you? You never know."

"I wanna know," Kathreya insisted. But it looks like she will have to wait until Darnell is ready to talk. He already made it clear previously that he didn't approve of Kat being friends with Sara.

BB9: Day 83 - Darnell Goes Silent On Kathreya

Darnell has gone silent on Kathreya and just does not want to talk to her about it.

"Do you want to talk to me?" she asked plaintively in the bedroom, as Darnell made his bed.
"Not really," Darnell replied politely.
"Why not?" Kathreya asked.
"'Cause I'm just gonna be chillin' until I go home," he explained.

But Kathreya wouldn't let it lie. "Why don't you want to talk to me?" she repeated. "We're friends."
"Because there's nothing to say," Darnell replied firmly.

Still not taking the hint, Kathreya asked, "Why you act funny for?"

She then questioned whether he realised he had upset her yesterday and wanted to know if she had done something wrong. Darnell, however, just walked out of the room leaving a confused Kat to mutter, "Very rude."

BB9: Day 82 - Kat In Tears As Darnell Attacks

One minute you can be up, then next minute you can be down in the Big Brother house. Kat knows this more than most as she has been feeling the pressure over the last week.

As Mohamed was announced as Head of House, Kat congratulated him but was confronted by a hostile Darnell. He criticised Kat over her loyalties and friends by directing comments and poking fun at her in front of the whole group. Although Kat defended herself, she couldn't help but feel upset by the whole incident.

Soon afterwards she was in the bedroom reading her 'Letter From Home' and eating cookies, but was crying. Then Rachel came to find out what was wrong.

"I'm so tired of Darnell. Last Friday, today, all the doubting..." said Kathreya, revealing the source of today's tears. "I don't even want to talk to you about it, because you are friends with both sides."

"My advice is you need to talk to Darnell," said Rachel. But Kathreya wasn't so sure.

"He just doesn't think. About how much it would upset you..." said Rachel, but Kathreya was back to another round of blubbing.

"Like on Friday, he get upset and in the morning he acted like nothing happened. Is it fair he can say whatever he wants to me?"

"You need to sit down and have a proper chat," advised Rachel. "People are just getting on top of each other in here. No-one means it. Little things niggle people. It's nothing major. But in here it's a big deal. If he was really down with you, would he be your friend? If he doubted you, he wouldn't be your friend."

But it wasn't enough to quell Kathreya's glumness. "I'm very sad about all this."

"If he thought you were being fake he wouldn't be your friend," asserted Rachel.

"I wanna go home...," whinged Kathreya. "I love my friends so much and when they say bad things about me it makes me so sad."

BB9: Day 80 - Darnell Refuses To Mend Friendship

Darnell has been in a sulk with Sara and won't let it drop but Kat wants him to make up with her.

Kathreya went in search of Darnell to try to sort out their differences from the night before. But it soon became clear that someone was still a bit sore...
"We haven't had our chat yet," said Kathreya to Darnell as they sat in the Bathroom.

"I don't wanna have a chat with you Kathreya," said Darnell, half-joking. "I don't care any more. There's only 14 more days."

"I want you to understand me properly," maintained Kathreya.

"I do understand you," said Darnell, losing patience. "You just want to be friends with everyone. We're just different in the way we do things and that's not a problem."

At this point Kathreya tried to explain that she wasn't in the middle of Darnell and Sara's fallout.

"I don't care, I don't even care," sighed Darnell. "I don't wanna hear her name, I don't even like to hear her ******* voice!" he added with a snarl.

But Kathreya was keen that Darnell should make up with Sara. "The difference in my perspective is if you have a problem with someone, you have to sort it out," replied Kathreya, "other people can't get in the middle."

"It's not a big deal. Who cares?" snapped Darnell. "When you guys are hanging out I'll just move to another place. I don't want to be around her. Period. Point blank." No 'Happy House' for Kat or Darnell this weekend!

BB9: Day 79 - Kat Cries Over Rex Comment

It's been a tough few days as housemates from the "group" turned on each other. Next up for an argument, tiff or blubber were Kathreya and Rex.

She was really upset that Rex has been nasty to her and accused her of picking on Nicole.

"Anything Nicole says to you," said Rex, "you pick on her."

"Me?" asked Kat, "pick on Nicole? You've got it wrong."

Kat and Rachel tried to ignore Rex's harsh words but Kat walked out into the garden, trying to hide her tears.

"Great," said Rex, watching her go, "now Kat's crying."

Rachel followed and joined Kat and Mo in the garden, listening patiently to Kat's frustrated outburst.

"I'm fed up with people backstabbing," said Kat. "I didn't even know what Nicole said. I didn't say anything to anyone."

"Rex is just upset because Nicole's up for nomination," said Mo.

"Rex is looking to blame someone," said Rachel, "any little thing that happens now they see as an attack. It's not fair. It's not fair at all. No-one thinks you're a bully."

Kat was inconsolable, Mo and Rachel did their best to comfort her as she sat sobbing to them trying to explain between tears what had happen. Rex came and apologised to Kat but will it be enough to stop her crying?

BB9: Day 79 - Kat Calls Lisa "Two Faced"

Who would have thought a few cans of cider could cause so much division? Yet tension in the house deepened after a "two-faced" Lisa left Kat upset.

Mohamed had earlier rowed with Nicole over missing cider and the group spent most of the evening talking about the incident or falling out with each other.

Kat told Rachel and Darnell that she was disappointed with the way Lisa had acted during the argument.

She said: "I was very upset by the way Lisa let Mo get attacked. Then she sucked up to him after everyone else had left. That’s two-faced!"

The incident is not the first sign of tension between Kat and Lisa. The pair argued as Nicole entered the house and Kat described Lisa as "scary" last week. Kat has never been a fan of Lisa and has made her views known to the "group" about Lisa and Sara.

BB9: Day 78 - Kat Fears Nominations Will Be Shown

Kathreya has already been thrown into the Big Brother Jail several times for talking about nominations but this time the Thai housemate had a new fear to talk about.

Kat has admitted that she is concerned about other housemates viewing her nomination tapes. Kat told the housemates she thought "nominations [were] going to come up" and it could spoil the "happy, happy house" she envisaged for the final.

Darnell was unconcerned, telling Kat he doesn't "give a shit" if nominations are shown next week as it's so close to the final.

Rachel agreed that she was also indifferent to Big Brother playing nomination tapes and the feelings of housemates past and present. "If people hold grudges, that's their decision and I accept that," she said.

With Kat telling the housemates she'd "been living as a goldfish" and that she "didn't want to get emotional or scared" so close to the final, both Darnell and Rachel played down the chances of nomination tapes being played.

Darnell said Big Brother "doesn't want tension in the last week," while Rachel told Kat the "final week is usually quiet". Obviously Kathreya is thinking out each and every process, so we can expect some "nice" nominations next week - just in case the other housemates get to view her nominations.................
