BB9: Stuart's Eviction Viewing Figures

As Big Brother continued past seventy days non-stop broadcasting, Stuart became the latest housemate to be evicted by the public vote. He became the ninth person to leave the BB9 house and the second beefcake in a row voted out.

The first of two Big Brother instalments saw 3.5 million viewers and a 17% share tune in to Channel 4 across an hour from 9pm for the announcement, this was identical as Dale's last Friday. Stuart's exit interview with Davina McCall drew 2.8 million viewers and a 17% share .
Less viewers watched an hour later on Channel 4 +1, 93,000 and a 72,000 watched the two episodes, respectively. Again slightly down on the week before but still up 1% for the interview.

Big Brother continued a slight decline as the number of housemates dipped into single figures for the first time during this ninth series. Sunday's highlights show attracted 2.7 million and an 11% share in the 9pm hour, with a further 380,000 watching on Channel 4 +1 an hour later. This was down almost 200,000 on the previous week.

BB9: Day 72 - Stuart's Eviction Interview

Stuart left the Big Brother house, then crowd surfed before making his way to the studio for his eviction interview with Davina McCall:

D: That is the worst bit of crowd surfing I've ever seen. They just left you. What kind of a crowd is that?

S: I know! I'm sure I heard people go "jump". I thought, you know what, I'm going out on a high now. This is my moment.

D: You nearly did go out.

S: You know when everything is like in slow motion. People slowly parted to reveal the floor. It did really hurt but you can't say that. So, I jumped up and said I'm fine! But I thought, oh my god, I want to go home, I need my Mum.

D: Let's talk about nominations. Who do you think nominated you?

S: Everyone apart from maybe Sara if she couldn't bring herself to.

D: Let's have a look. Any surprises?

S: Er, I'm not sure what Nicole's on about. The other reasons I pretty much agree with them. Although I pretty much won every Task, I still joined in.

D: The other night you sat there with Sara who was staring into your eyes and you basically said, what are you staring at? I thought you were just yearning after some proper conversation without some girl just adoring every inch of your muscles.

S: I didn't think that, especially not with Sara anyway.

D: What, you don't think she fancies you?

S: Sara?

D: Sara fancies the pants off you. Literally.What about Jen?

S: Jen didn't like me, she was with Dale.

D: What about Sylvia? She was really after you.

S: Honestly, I didn't know where any of that came from. I didn't know whether she like me or not. Just before she went she said she fancied Dale. I just tried to stay out of all that.

D: Have you got any regrets?

S: No, I knew that I was never ever going to win. So I didn't want to go out in the final - going out in the final is rubbish because you only get two minutes with you. I wanted to spend as much time as I could with you Davina. And I wanted my week.

D: Who do you want to win?

S: It changes all the time. Mikey should win. He's the only one in there who doesn't act, he doesn't care.

D: In spite of you not wanting to be in there you did seem to have a good time.

S: I did love being in there.

D: I've got a little present for you from your daughter Mia. It's one of her front teeth which came out on July 23rd.

S: [cries] Thank you. That's amazing

Stuart was evicted from the Big Brother house after surviving previous public votes. He met Davina McCall for his eviction interview after leaving the house to a loud screams and some booing.

BB9: Day 72 - Stuart Evicted From Big Brother

Stuart has been evicted from the Big Brother house with 59% of the vote in the closest result of the series. Rachel got 41% and will survive another week in BB9.

The public vote reflected the BBBS poll that was carried out this week where you voted Stu out on 57% and Rachel 43%.

BB9: Day 72 POLL- Rachel Wins Eviction Vote

Rachel and Stuart are the two housemates up for the public vote this week, so we asked you who would YOU vote out in this weeks BBBS Poll.

It was a closely fought contest with both housemates proving a difficult choice for readers of Big Brother Blog Squad. With every passing hour the lead changed between Stuart and Rachel.

Voting closed today and a late surge meant you voted Stuart out with 57% of the vote and Rachel survived with 43%. Will the poll result reflect the voters who will ultimately vote out either Stuart or Rachel later today?

BB9: Day 71 - Stu Wants Kat To Face Eviction Vote

Stuart told Darnell that Kathreya should face the public vote. Joking to Darnell, Stuart said: "We'll just say she wants to go and put the favourite (Kat) up for eviction."

Stuart added that being nominated changes people and that Kat could "snap" if put forward for the public vote, given her negative reaction to Rachel's nomination.

Darnell said Kathreya had been "borderline" on being sent to jail for trying to find out who was behind Rachel's nomination.


Darnell said he thought it was unlikely that Kat would go up for eviction, as the whole house wouldn't "think the same way". However, Stuart calculated that, going into the final weeks, only four people would need to nominate Kat to put her up for eviction but if Stuart goes this week then we are hardly likely to see Kat nominated.

BB9: Day 70 - Stu Triumphs In Slowest Race

The final event in the Big Brother Games 2008 was no speedy affair as Lisa, Stuart and Rachel took part in the Slowest Race.They had to complete the circuit in the slowest time possible. As the starter gun sounded started the trio made their way around the track very slowly.

Lisa looked like she going in slow motion, Rachel obeyed Kat's request with a penguin-style waddle and Stuart moved his feet inch by inch.

First past the line was Lisa in three minutes four seconds Rachel finished in at three minutes 34 seconds and Stuart ended his two-step in three minutes 45 seconds.

Big Brother showed the replay of the event was in fast-motion, much to the amusement of the housemates.

BB9: Day 70 - Stu Tells Sara His Fears

Stuart shared his fears with Sara after chatting about his daughter late into the night.

Sara had complimented Stuart about his eyelashes but he admitted that he isn't good at taking compliments."If you say something nice, it's embarrassing," he explained. "If you say something bad, it proper gets to me."

He went on to talk about his ex girlfriend but stopped suddenly, declaring that he sounded like a "loser"."I'm going on about my ex all the time," he pointed out. "How sad is that?"

Sara said it annoyed her that he worried about it, before telling him that he will have lots of girls after him.

However, Stuart said he just wanted one girl and added that he wanted to lose weight so he wouldn't be so muscular. "Everybody in here thought I loved myself and took my top off loads," he sighed. "I'd rather not train than be anything like that."

Stuart also confessed that he didn't have many friends and that all he wanted from the show was for people to think he was an "alright guy"."You worry too much," Sara warned him. "You worry more than a normal person."

Rachel and Stuart face the public vote this week after Big Brother housemates nominated them.

Housemates decided Rachel should face eviction after her rule as Head of House ended in tears for her choice of winner in the Baking Task. Stuart was just an easy choice because he wants to leave, or does he?

BB9: Day 66 VIDEO - Darnell and Sara In Bedtime Flirt

The 'Love Triangle' is a bit confusing (at least the Dale/Jen/Stu triangle was easier!), Sara flirts with Stu but tells him he's not her type, Stuart just carries on being Stu. Darnell tells Sara that he doesn't fancy her but spends the whole of Saturday moaning about Sara because he thinks she fancies Stu.

The housemates think Sara is leading Darnell on and using him to get to Stuart, but since he says he doesn't fancy her - why worry? Or could it be someone is lying - Does Sara really fancy Stu? Does Darnell really like Sara?

BB9: Day 66 - Sara Flirts With Stuart

It's a twisted 'Love Triangle' that is doomed from the start after

Sara spent a lot of time flirting with Stuart.

After the housemates had been provided with alcohol following the success of the Superstitious Task , Sara hatched a plan to massage Stu and spent time with him at the smoking area.

She began by quizzing him on what he had said in the Diary Room, asking if she had got a "special mention" and what number she was on his list of favourite people.

Later, she got her necklace wrapped up in her microphone lead and went to sit on his chair so he could sort it out for her.

"You get that, camera," she laughed. "Check it out, it's a bit sexual."

She teased him that his tattoo was "cute but shit" before giving him a hug. However, she was outraged when he patted her on the back."Oh my God, you're not supposed to pat a girl!" she shrieked. "That's the worst insult ever! How embarrassing."Mohamed was unimpressed with Sara's focus on Stuart. "She's leading Darnell on," he told Rex. "Poor sod."


Later Sara told Stu that he does not show her enough affection as they sat talking in the bathroom. Stu said Sara needs to improve on her ability to cheer people up, prompting her to reply that she is good at giving compliments when they are merited.

Sara continued by smilingly saying that Stu is not her type as he is not spontaneous and does not cuddle her enough."I think you are a bit of a loser, that is all," she said, before changing her tune: "No, I don't think you are a loser, I just think that you don't entertain me. I think you could if you really tried, but you don’t want to."

Stu said he has been a little preoccupied over the past weeks, citing the divide, the task, his jail term, and being nominated as things which have been on his mind.

Having left the bath, Stu suggested they go to the bedroom and hugged Sara as they left the bathroom to display he was able to show affection.

Whispering in the darkened dorm, Stu told Sara he said in the Diary Room that she was "borderline insane", adding that he meant it in a good way.

BB9: Day 65 - Superstitious Task

In the Superstition Task - Dale and Stuart had to put superstitions to the test as the powers of good luck and bad luck went head-to-head. Dale and Stuart both faced eviction in this week's public vote.

Friday the 8th of the 8th month in the year 2008 is supposedly the luckiest date in the Chinese Calendar, but for one housemate it would spell the end of their stay in the Big Brother House.

Both housemates had to go through an obstacle course that included crossing someone on the stairs, putting new shoes on the table, opening umbrellas indoors, spilling salt, walking under ladders, stepping on the cracks in crazy paving and smashing mirrors.

The housemate who completed the most circuits of the unlucky obstacle course in 30 minutes could accumulate the most bad karma and be evicted this week.

Who goes? You decide! It's the battle of the beefcake this week as Dale and Stuart both face the public vote in this weeks Big Brother eviction. BB9: Day 64 - Stuart Sent To Jail

Big Brother has sent Stuart to jail for talking about nominations. Although several housemates have been talking about voting, Stuart was thrown into jail by Big Brother.

Summoned to the Diary Room, a severe sounding Big Brother re-read his comments
:
"You said 'Lise will be a target next week.' Later at 7.16pm you said 'I was thinking right, trying to desperately add up who could have gone for Lise. I thought you and me do not have enough. I was trying to work people out. I know Rachel would have done it for us. Rex, Mo would have done it anyway. Who else?'"

Stuart looked surly as he listened to his own words being read back to him. "I thought 'cause it's already been done though, it doesn't matter," said Stuart lamely. But Big Brother wasn't having any of it, and told him to proceed straight to jail.

"Oh for God's sake," sighed Stuart. "My last night in jail.. " Talking to Lisa he said, "I don't get how that's breaking the rules anyway, saying me, Dale, you and Sara are targets."

"That's probably because the other group's more cliquey, isn't it?" mused Lisa, thinking about the nominations. "They've formed a group."

"Even Kat said last night," agreed Dale. "Everybody knows, like." Dale and Darnell discussed Stuart's time in Jail saying he must be staying in the house because Big Brother wouldn't put him in Jail if he was leaving the house.

BB9: Day 64 PICTURES - Housemates Jump Into Pool With Clothes On

Heavenly housemates decided to take a dip in the Big Brother pool but thought it would be better to leave their clothes on. First Sara got thrown in then Lisa jumped in and Darnell quickly followed behind. Eventually Dale and Stuart were in the pool fully clothed and persuaded Mo to belly flop into the pool.

Dale ended up taking his top off and screaming after the housemates joked a moth was on his t-shirt. The antics got more naughtier in the Luxury Bedroom as housemates whipped off Darnell's towel, only to discover he was naked underneath. The 26 year old had to pull down his t-shirt to save his dignity, although viewers got a glimpse of his testicles briefly.

BB9: Day 63 - Housemates Discuss Who Will Win BB9

Dale, Stu, Lisa, Sara and Darnell spent the afternoon discussing who they think will be left as the final six housemates and who they want to win Big Brother 9.

Stuart said he wanted to go on Friday so he could watch the show and see housemates turn on each other as the £100,000 prize would cause friends to change as the final drew near.


Darnell predicted stuff would kick off as fewer people were in the house. He said he would like to see Rachel win BB9. Sara said she would love to see Mickey win, although she loves Kat as well.Stuart said he'd like Michael to win as he was funny.

Most housemates agreed that Kathreya was the favourite and Michael was second favourite. Sara predicted that Rex and Nicole would be in the final six. They also greed that they (Stu, Dale, Sara, Lisa) wouldn't be in the final but Kathreya, Michael, Rachel, Mohamed, Rex and Nicole would probably make up the final six.
